Mission

The mission of the CDNBCA is to create opportunities for social, cultural, wellness, educational, and economic development for the Black English-speaking community of Quebec.

Vision

The CDNBCA strive to collaborate and create synergies with partners and organizations to deliver effective and valuable services and programs that address the changing needs of our community.

Community Organized Resources for Empowerment (CORE)

The CDNBCA aims to create a variety of programs to support children, youth, adults and seniors as part of CORE. These include but are not limited to exciting summer & march break camps, as well as a diversity of sports, recreational, artistic, cultural and educational activities for all participants. We also strive to address the immediate community’s needs as a recognized community organization hosting a weekly food bank with the support of Moisson Montreal (Moisson Montréal (moissonmontreal.org) and Multi-Caf (Accueil • MultiCaf), as well as forging new and sustaining existing partnerships.

Strengthening Families Initiatives program (SFI)

CDNBCA’s Strengthening Families Initiatives program serves the Black English-speaking families in Quebec as they navigate parenthood. The SFI program’s services (CASS, SFP, I-NOW) delivers added value to the essential services already supplied by the various institutions in Montreal. We strive to position ourselves as the family’s cultural accompanier as they successfully navigate the system, the Quebec education and social services networks.

Ujaama Initiative Black Entrepreneurship

The CDNBCA’s Ujamaa Initiative for Black Entrepreneurship (UIBE) is dedicated to supporting and empowering black entrepreneurs, and offers valuable and essential resources and opportunities for their success. Join a community of like-minded individuals striving towards financial independence and prosperity.

Educational and cultural events that enhance our community

Infused with our culture, our weekly activities and special events appeal to our community because they are designed for them.

With the support of the City of Montreal and Centraide, we offer weekly activities and special events at our two programming centers that are designed to engage and appeal to different members of the community.
